BPC-157 and TB-500 Reconstitution Calculator

Calculate concentration and volume per injection for BPC-157 and TB-500 vials. Enter peptide amount, water volume and desired dose for instant reconstitution math.

This calculator determines the concentration of a reconstituted peptide solution based on the vial size and the volume of bacteriostatic water added. Enter your values to find the peptide amount per unit volume. Whether you are working with BPC-157, TB-500 or a blended vial, the arithmetic is the same: milligrams of peptide divided by milliliters of water.

How the Calculator Works

Peptide Amount and Bacteriostatic Water Volume

Every lyophilized peptide vial contains a stated amount of powder, measured in milligrams. To prepare a solution, you add a measured volume of bacteriostatic water to the vial. The two inputs to this calculator are the peptide amount (mg) printed on the vial label and the water volume (mL) you choose to add. Changing either value changes the resulting concentration.

Concentration per mL

The calculator divides the total peptide content by the total water volume to output the concentration in milligrams per milliliter (mg/mL). It also converts this to micrograms per 0.1 mL (mcg per 10 units on a standard insulin syringe), which is the measurement most commonly referenced in research protocols. This conversion eliminates the need for manual arithmetic when preparing draws.

Volume per Desired Amount

If you know how many micrograms you need per draw, the calculator works in reverse. Enter the desired amount and it returns the exact volume to draw from your reconstituted vial. This is useful when working with protocols that specify peptide amounts rather than syringe volumes.

Preset: BPC-157 Reconstitution

Common Vial Sizes (5mg and 10mg)

BPC-157 is sold in 5mg and 10mg vials. PeptideGod offers both sizes, with the 5mg vial at $34.95 and the 10mg at $59.95. Real Peptides sells a 10mg vial at $43.20 (sale price). The vial size determines how much peptide is available for reconstitution, and we recommend confirming the labeled amount before adding water.

Example Calculations

Vial SizeWater AddedConcentration (mg/mL)Per 0.1 mL (mcg)
5 mg1 mL5.0 mg/mL500 mcg
5 mg2 mL2.5 mg/mL250 mcg
10 mg1 mL10.0 mg/mL1000 mcg
10 mg2 mL5.0 mg/mL500 mcg

Adding 2 mL of water to a 5mg vial produces a lower concentration that is easier to measure in small increments. Adding only 1 mL to a 10mg vial creates a highly concentrated solution where small measurement errors have a larger effect. In our experience reviewing protocols, we find that the 2 mL dilution offers the best balance of precision and usability for most researchers.

Preset: TB-500 Reconstitution

Common Vial Sizes (5mg and 10mg)

TB-500 is available in 5mg and 10mg vials from PeptideGod ($35.00 and $65.00 respectively). Real Peptides sells a 10mg vial at $48.00 (sale price). The reconstitution process for TB-500 is identical to BPC-157: add bacteriostatic water to the lyophilized powder and calculate the resulting concentration.

Example Calculations

Vial SizeWater AddedConcentration (mg/mL)Per 0.1 mL (mcg)
5 mg1 mL5.0 mg/mL500 mcg
5 mg2 mL2.5 mg/mL250 mcg
10 mg1 mL10.0 mg/mL1000 mcg
10 mg2 mL5.0 mg/mL500 mcg

For researchers reconstituting both BPC-157 and TB-500 separately (rather than using a pre-mixed blend), we have found that using the same water volume for each vial simplifies the draw calculations. If both vials are 10mg and both receive 2 mL of water, every 0.1 mL draw from either vial contains exactly 500 mcg.

Important Notes

Bacteriostatic water (preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is the standard solvent for multi-use peptide vials. Sterile water without preservative should only be used when the entire vial will be consumed in a single session. Reconstituted peptides stored with bacteriostatic water at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius should be used within 28 days. Do not freeze reconstituted solutions.

We provide this calculator as a reference tool. Real Peptides sells bacteriostatic water (10 mL, $4.80) if you need a reconstitution solvent alongside your peptide order. Always swab vial stoppers with 70% isopropyl alcohol before inserting a needle, and use a fine-gauge insulin syringe (29 or 30 gauge) to minimize stopper damage across multiple draws.

FAQ - Reconstitution Calculator

Does this calculator work for the BPC-157 and TB-500 blend?

Yes. The math is the same regardless of whether your vial contains a single peptide or a blend. Enter the total peptide content listed on the vial label and the volume of water you plan to add. The calculator returns the concentration per milliliter and per 0.1 mL draw. For the PeptideGod BPC-157 + TB-500 blend (5mg or 10mg), enter the combined vial content as the peptide amount.

How much water should I add to a 10mg vial?

The volume depends on the concentration you need. Adding 1 mL produces 10 mg/mL (1000 mcg per 0.1 mL). Adding 2 mL produces 5 mg/mL (500 mcg per 0.1 mL). The lower concentration is easier to measure precisely with standard insulin syringes. We suggest using the volume that allows your protocol amounts to fall within easily readable syringe graduations.

Can I mix BPC-157 and TB-500 in the same syringe?

Some researchers draw from two separately reconstituted vials into a single syringe. This is a decision that falls outside the scope of this calculator, which handles single-vial arithmetic only. The PeptideGod blend vial contains both peptides pre-mixed, eliminating the question for researchers who prefer that approach.

What happens if I add too much water?

Adding more water than intended produces a lower concentration. The peptide is not lost; it is simply dissolved in a larger volume. You will need to draw a proportionally larger volume to obtain the same amount of peptide per draw. Use the calculator to recalculate the concentration with the actual water volume you added.

How long does a reconstituted vial last?

When mixed with bacteriostatic water and refrigerated at 2 to 8 degrees Celsius, a reconstituted peptide vial is generally considered stable for up to 28 days. The benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits microbial growth but does not prevent peptide degradation indefinitely. Mark the reconstitution date on the vial and discard unused solution after 28 days.
